Writing a Small Poem
What is the story? During World War II, my grandparents built the P-51 Mustang in an airplane factory in Inglewood, California, a city in Los Angeles County. My father took us to air shows at the base he worked at when I was growing up.
Years later, I wrote a 40 word poem about historic airplanes that became the picture book AIR SHOW. My grandparents built a plane with an animal name, so I used animal names for ALL of the planes in this picture book poem.
