PUMPKIN KIN

PUMPKIN KIN

Writing a Small Poem

What is the story? As this photo by Maddy Baker shows, it’s time to visit the pumpkin patch. The pumpkins are ready to go, but which one is best for our house? Hmm… That’s my PUMPKIN story — and my second October #smallpoem.

Now it’s your turn! What is your PUMPKIN story?

Thank you, Anastasia! I will be working in a pumpkin patch, and carefully choosing my pumpkin kin. Already I have three lovelies! Please find my blog, which has a pumpkin poem also.

What a great play on words! Pumpkins and their kin. I love it. I’ve been trying to write one poem a day this month.

So clever! I love “Pumpkin/and kin” Here’s a small pumpkin poem I wrote once upon a time:
Yesterday I picked a pumpkin
where I thought I’d planted melon.
I can’t figure how this happened
and the pumpkin isn’t tellin’!

Thanks to you, I’ll never again look at a pumpkin patch/store display the same way!

Anastasia, the pumpkin patch is full of pumpkins and their kin and so is your poem. I am missing picking pumpkins with the grands today. Weather issues are preventing the fun play.
pumpkin picking
is such an art
but weather is tricking
there goes my heart

What a fun poem! Here’s my attempt:
Pumpkin pie,
I will not lie
is my favorite treat.
If we could live on pie alone,
it’s all I’d ever eat!
